It is no coincidence that the Brent Spar "information" is very difficult to get to. Attempting to address the actual issues, Shell is forced to shed its carefully wrought illusion of caring and revert to ordinary corporate "greenwashing."
Shell has no choice. Individuals within Shell may care about the environment, but Shell itself does not. It, like any other large corporation, is a machine whose sole charter is to increase its own wealth. Shell is consitutionally unable to care about anything but money.
The Shell heart is a nearly thorough illusion produced at huge expense by teams of highly-paid magicians.
